the challenge
In this assignment, the challenge was to review and enhance the current blog post page's user interface design, with a focus on optimizing it for both desktop and mobile devices. The primary objectives were to make the content more readable, attractive, and engaging, and to strategically optimize Call to Actions (CTAs). The task also included the creative freedom to introduce new UI elements that enhance user engagement and propose changes to the current layout if it contributed to an improved user experience.
areas of focus
Key areas of focus included:
Optimizing Readability and Attractiveness: Improvements to font sizes, line spacing, and color contrast were necessary to enhance content readability. The incorporation of visual elements such as images, icons, and appropriate spacing was crucial to making the page more visually appealing.
Optimizing CTAs: The strategic design and placement of Call to Action elements, like banner buttons or links, aimed to guide users towards desired actions such as subscribing or sharing content.
Introducing New UI Elements: Opportunities were explored to introduce new UI elements that encourage user engagement. This included interactive features, related article suggestions, social media sharing prompts, and comment sections, all aligned with the blog's theme and purpose.
Layout Enhancement: Proposing and implementing layout changes were considered essential if they improved the user experience. This could involve rearranging content sections, adjusting sidebars, or repositioning navigation menus to optimize flow and usability.
The deliverables for this assignment included high-fidelity UI design mockups for both desktop and mobile views of the blog post page. Additionally, a comprehensive explanation of design choices was provided, highlighting how each requirement of the assignment was addressed to create a more engaging and user-friendly blog post page.
